Terms of Service

The terms for using StubProof document and calculation tools.

Last updated: 2026-07-24

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and StubProof ("StubProof," "we," "us," or "our"), an independently operated service based in Australia. By creating an account, checking the acceptance box at checkout, purchasing a document, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to create an account or purchase a document. If you use StubProof for a business or another organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

What StubProof provides

StubProof provides software for preparing pay statements, recipient copies of certain tax forms, receipts, invoices, and related calculations from information supplied by the user. StubProof is a document-preparation tool, not an employer, payroll processor, accounting firm, tax preparer, credit bureau, lender, identity-verification service, or government filing service.

StubProof does not verify employment, identity, income, tax status, authorization, or the truth of any field entered. A generated document is not independently verified proof of income and is not guaranteed to be accepted by any landlord, lender, employer, insurer, government agency, or other recipient.

Accurate and authorized information

You must enter complete and accurate information from legitimate source records and review every field and total before using a generated document. You may enter another person's personal information only when you have a lawful basis and appropriate authority to do so. You are responsible for safeguarding generated documents and complying with payroll, tax, employment, privacy, record-retention, and other laws that apply to you.

Automatic calculations and withholding estimates are convenience features. They may not reflect every federal, state, local, or individual rule and are not payroll, accounting, tax, financial, or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional when advice is required.

Tax-form limitations

StubProof currently prepares supported recipient or employee copies for recordkeeping. It does not file forms with the IRS, Social Security Administration, or a state or local authority. It does not provide a scannable official Copy A for paper filing. You are responsible for using official or approved filing methods and furnishing required copies by applicable deadlines.

Lawful use

You may use StubProof only for truthful records of real income, employment, services, invoices, and payments. You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you may not use the service to fabricate or misrepresent income, employment, identity, payment history, creditworthiness, tax information, or eligibility.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate account information, keep it current, and promptly notify us through the Feedback link if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not sell, transfer, or share an account in a way that undermines security or purchase controls.

Prices and payment

Prices, currency, the number of included exports, and any applicable recurring terms are shown before checkout. Current StubProof document products use one-time pricing unless checkout expressly states otherwise. Stripe processes payment information. You authorize StubProof and Stripe to charge the displayed amount, including applicable taxes, and to create the transaction and invoice records needed to fulfill and support the purchase.

An export entitlement applies only to the product, document type, quantity, account, and other conditions shown at purchase. It has no cash value and may not be resold or transferred. We may correct obvious pricing or product-description errors before fulfillment and will provide an appropriate refund if we cannot fulfill a completed purchase.

Digital delivery and refunds

Paid products provide access to digital document exports. Review the complete preview and all entries before purchasing. Refund eligibility and the request process are described in the Refund Policy presented at checkout. Nothing in these Terms limits a non-waivable right or remedy available under applicable law.

Intellectual property

StubProof software, branding, page designs, and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

You retain your rights in information you lawfully submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to process that information, provide the service, secure the platform, and comply with law. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or create a competing service from protected parts of StubProof except where applicable law does not permit that restriction.

Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access, cancel an unfulfilled delivery, preserve relevant records, or report conduct when we reasonably believe an account or document is connected to fraud, unlawful conduct, a security threat, a payment dispute, or a violation of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Service availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, permanent storage of browser drafts, or compatibility with every device, browser, third party, or government process.

Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STUBPROOF AND ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS MAKE THE SERVICE AVAILABLE "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, ACCEPTANCE, OR RESULTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STUBPROOF AND ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, OR THIRD-PARTY DECISIONS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF STUBPROOF FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STUBPROOF FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT. THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT LEGALLY BE LIMITED.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StubProof and its service providers from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from information or documents you submit or generate, your unlawful or unauthorized use, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the applicable laws of the Australian state or territory in which StubProof is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections, remedies, and venue rules that apply to you are not excluded.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. The updated Terms apply prospectively when posted unless a different effective date is stated. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required.
